How it works
The uploaded file is stored as protected content instead of a public download. A recipient must unlock the file page before the protected download flow provides the decrypted file in the browser.
The recipient experience
A LOCK.PUB account is not required to download a shared file. The recipient enters the password, waits for verification and decryption, and then saves the file through the browser.
Before you begin
Available controls and their limits
Downloaded copies cannot be recalled. The service does not replace malware scanning.
Creator controls
Choose the file, a clear public description, the password, and any availability options offered to your plan. The creator shows the current per-file and storage allowances before submission.
Protection boundary
The service protects the stored file and access to its download. It cannot revoke copies that recipients save locally, and it does not scan a recipient's device or guarantee that an uploaded file is harmless.

What should I know before using Encrypted File Sharing?
Unsupported or oversized uploads are rejected, and network interruptions can affect large transfers. Confirm the filename and file type, keep a backup, and share only with people you trust to retain the decrypted copy.
