From setup to sharing

How It Works

Sketch ideas on a shared canvas with people who know the password.

  1. How it works

Board strokes and snapshots are encrypted in the browser before storage and synchronized while people are connected. Group mode lets password holders draw; solo mode reserves drawing for the signed-in owner.

  2. The recipient experience

Recipients can open the board without signing up and enter the shared password. They can draw in group mode, while visitors to a solo board watch the signed-in owner's synchronized work.

Before you begin

Available controls and their limits

Individual editing roles and screenshot prevention are not provided.

Creator controls

The creator chooses group or solo mode, sets the board name and password, and shares viewer access. Drawing capacity, stroke widths, and the available palette follow the current plan.

Protection boundary

Browser encryption protects saved drawing data, but everyone who unlocks the room can view the canvas and capture it. Group or solo mode controls drawing; there are no detailed per-person editing roles.

What should I know before using Collaborative Whiteboard?

Free boards use black strokes and a 250,000-byte encrypted drawing allowance; Pro offers 8 colors without that Free cap. Network conditions affect synchronization, and offline editing is not guaranteed.
