LockLink ("lock.pub") is a password-protected content sharing platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name for account identification. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other Google data.
When you create a locked link, memo, or chat room, the content is encrypted with your password before it is stored. Room content is encrypted in your browser; other content is encrypted on our servers and decrypted only when the correct password is supplied.
We collect access analytics for locked links, including access time, a hashed IP address, browser and device details, and approximate region when available. For poll duplicate checks, we store a keyed hash derived from the IP address, browser User-Agent, and poll ID together with the vote time; the vote record does not store the raw IP address. We do not track browsing activity beyond interactions with lock.pub. To prevent repeated anonymous creation and free-trial abuse, we store an opaque browser identifier in a cookie and local storage, with creation counts and trial usage on our servers. Trial usage is retained across months and account changes.
If you voluntarily select a cancellation reason, we collect only that category, do not collect a free-form response, and do not send it to Stripe.
All data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) and content is encrypted before storage. All communication uses HTTPS. Chat, board and location content is encrypted in your browser before upload, so we store only the encrypted data.

The LockLink Chrome extension accesses only the current tab's URL and title when you explicitly choose to lock a page. It does not monitor browsing activity, collect browsing history, or access data from other tabs or websites.
Locked content is governed by the expiration and access limits you choose. Deleting an individual locked link is a Pro feature. Closing your account permanently disables sign-in and dashboard access, but it is not a process that automatically deletes existing content. Links and content you previously shared may remain accessible with the password or become unavailable depending on their type and status. If you use Pro and want content removed, delete it from the dashboard before closing your account. Poll duplicate-check records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to prevent duplicate voting and protect the service from abuse. Requests to access, correct, or delete personal information are handled separately from plan features through our contact page. Closed accounts cannot be restored.
