How are chat messages stored?
Messages are encrypted in the browser with the room password before storage, and the server stores encrypted message data. The password is sent to LOCK.PUB over HTTPS when access is verified, so this is not a zero-knowledge service.
How should I share the room password?
For a sensitive conversation, send the room link and password through separate channels and share them only with intended participants.
Is an anonymous room the same as complete anonymity?
No. LOCK.PUB does not require participant profiles, but a room link cannot prevent recipients from sharing what they see or revealing identifying details themselves.
