Usage guide

Send only the information the recipient needs

Move an account number, payment reference, or billing detail out of the chat used to coordinate the transfer.

  1. Remove information that is not needed

Include only the values needed for the recipient's task in the private note. Keep personal information out of the public title and description.

  2. Choose a separate password

Confirm the intended recipient and send the password through a different trusted channel from the link.

  3. Access ends after the first successful reveal

Once the correct password reveals the note, the same link will not reveal it again. Avoid opening the delivery link yourself beforehand.

What this tool protects

One-time access does not stop the recipient from copying, recording, or photographing information. It also does not mean every stored copy is immediately deleted after the first reveal.

Sensitive information sharing tool

Keep sensitive text out of the conversation

Instead of pasting bank details, account references, recovery codes, or personal identifiers into chat, send a separate password-protected link and deliver its password another way.

Send bank or payment details

Move an account number, payment reference, or billing detail out of the chat used to coordinate the transfer.

Hand over a temporary credential

Share an initial password, recovery code, or short-lived access phrase without leaving the value in the conversation history.

Share a personal reference

Send only the minimum identifier the recipient needs, and avoid including sensitive words in the public label.

Secure share link or plain message?

A LOCK.PUB link separates the sensitive text from the conversation and stops the link from revealing it again after one successful unlock.

Sensitive information sharing questions

What information can I share with this tool?

It is designed for short text such as account details, references, temporary credentials, or personal identifiers. Share only the minimum information the recipient actually needs.

Is the information deleted after it is opened?

This tool promises one-time access, not deletion. After the first successful password unlock, LOCK.PUB blocks another reveal through that link.

Can the recipient copy or capture the information?

Yes. One-time access cannot stop a recipient from copying, photographing, or otherwise recording information while it is visible.

Where should I send the password?

Send the link and password through separate channels whenever the information is sensitive. Do not include the sensitive value in the public label.

Need to share sensitive information regularly?

Pro supports unlimited One-Time Secret creation, link analytics, and dashboard management.
