Send an image through a link that reveals it once
Send a diagram, reference photo, or visual instruction that the recipient only needs to inspect one time.
Check the image and upload size
JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP are supported. Guest and Free uploads are limited to 1 MB; Pro allows 10 MB. Conversion can change the original image.
Set a password and create the link
Choose the image and a separate password. Unlocking the link yourself before sending it can use its single reveal.
The recipient unlocks and views it
After the image is successfully revealed once, additional reveals through the same link are blocked.

What this tool protects
Screenshots and photographs taken with another device cannot be blocked. One-time access does not mean the original image and every copy are immediately deleted.

One-time image questions
Do I or the recipient need an account?
You can create one One-Time Image as a guest without signing up. Guest and Free creation have a lifetime allowance of one, rather than a daily or monthly reset; Pro supports repeated creation. The recipient does not need a LOCK.PUB account. Anyone with the link and password can attempt the first unlock.
Does opening the link or entering a wrong password use the one view?
No. Opening the password page or entering a wrong password does not consume the successful-unlock allowance. The first successful password unlock consumes it and blocks new unlock attempts. A viewer who has already unlocked the image may continue viewing it in that authorized session.
Is the encrypted image deleted after viewing?
This is an access limit, not deletion. After one successful password unlock, new unlock attempts are blocked. It does not promise immediate deletion of the encrypted image or remove copies saved by the recipient.
Can the recipient download, copy, or screenshot the image?
Yes. The image viewer includes a download button. Recipients can also capture the screen, copy the revealed image, or photograph it with another device. One-time access cannot take those copies back.
Which image formats and sizes does this tool accept?
Upload one JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP: up to 1 MiB for Guest and Free, or 10 MiB for Pro. The server converts the image to WebP and reduces its width to at most 1920 pixels without enlarging smaller images. This tool does not preserve the uploaded original.
How can I share original photos, multiple images, or a reusable link?
Use the ordinary image creator linked below. Guest and Free share one image up to 1 MiB. Its Pro and Business album flow supports up to 10 original images, each up to 40 MiB, subject to storage and transfer allowances. Those links are reusable by default; Pro and Business can configure expiration and access-count limits there.
Where does image encryption happen?
The image and password are sent to LOCK.PUB over HTTPS. The server processes the image, encrypts it for storage, and decrypts it after checking the password for access. This is server-side processing, not end-to-end encryption; the server handles the readable image and password.
Is the public label secret?
No. The public label is visible before the password is entered and may appear in link previews. Use a non-sensitive label, put private information in the image itself, and send the password separately from the link.
